As a permanent member of the Holy Synod, during 2009, Archbishop Mark attended five meeting of the Holy Synod.

During the reporting year, archbishop Mark served 168 liturgies, ordained 13 deacons and 9 priests. During the year, His Eminence consecrated 9 newly-built and 5 updated churches in his diocese.

Much attention was paid by Archbishop Mark to liturgical life of the diocese as well as some practical advice was given by him regarding parish life.

With the proposal of the ruling bishop, a diocesan commission was established, which will supervise the architecture and iconography.

Archimandrite Alexy (Brynchak), Secretary of the Diocese Administration, talked about issues of the diocese.

Head of the Financial Assistance Fund of the Diocese of Khust archpriest Basil Kolchar reported that assistance was provided for 37 individuals in total of 21,520 Ukrainian hryvnia.

Meeting ended with prayer "It is truly meet ...", and then departed this life Diocesan clergy were prayerfully remembered.
